Tour details

Los Gemelos (Volcanic Sinkholes)
We'll head to the area of pines and dense vegetation to visit Los Gemelos, two impressive twin sinkholes or craters formed by the collapse of the surface. You can walk a loop trail through Scalesia forest (a key Galápagos endemic) around both formations. Here we'll explore the island's fascinating volcanic geology.

Rancho Chato 2 (Home of the Giant Tortoises)
We'll continue to Rancho Chato 2, a private property in the natural habitat of the Galápagos giant tortoises (Chelonoidis spp.).
Here you can walk among these century-old giants in the wild. The tortoises roam freely through the grasslands and ponds, feeding and resting, offering incomparable photo opportunities.
Lava Tunnels (Underground Formations)
A journey underground: we'll explore the island's insides through the Lava Tunnels. These tunnels are underground conduits formed during an eruption, when the outer lava cooled and hardened while the liquid inside kept flowing.
