Tour Tunnels Marine

The Tour Tunnels Marine, offered by Explorer GPS, is one of the most fascinating experiences you can have on Isabela Island. This trip combines adventure, nature and unique landscapes created by ancient volcanic eruptions that formed the impressive lava tunnels now intertwined with the Pacific Ocean.

The excursion begins with a boat ride of about 40 minutes from Puerto Villamil, along the island's south coast. On the way there is a short stop at Roca Unión, an islet that shelters seabirds such as Nazca boobies and frigatebirds, where you can sometimes see manta rays gliding beneath the surface.
